Little Anthony and the Imperials are proud to announce their newest CD release 'Pure Acappella,' a soulful collection of Doo Wop and pop classics. 'Pure Acappella' is now available everywhere.

Songs on the album include 'Why Do Fools Fall In Love,' 'Don't Say Goodnight,' 'I'll Be Forever Loving You,' 'I'll Be Home,' 'You're A Thousand Miles Away,' 'So In Love,' 'Earth Angel,' 'Georgia,' 'I Only Have Eyes for You,' 'Creation of Love,' 'Please Be My Girlfriend,' 'Goodnight Sweetheart,' and 'That's the Way Love Goes,' as well as the Little Anthony and the Imperials classic 'Two People in The World.'

Founding member Clarence Collins says of the making of the new album, 'Singing acappella without an accompaniment of instruments is a God given gift.. We feel, we love, we sing.' Little Anthony Gourdine adds, 'This CD to me is simple in its pure form. We love and love these songs and their original artists.'

The CD also features narration by legendary New York City DJ Bobby Jay of WCBS-FM fame.

The album was recorded in between concert dates on Little Anthony and the Imperials' extensive tour. The tracks were recorded in New York City at Rich Sound Studios. It was produced by Little Anthony and the Imperials along with the band's longtime drummer John DiGiulio. Rich Gaglia mixed and engineered the CD. Vocal assistance was provided by Eddie Jones.

Member Sammy Strains says, 'What does singing acappella mean to me? Achievement, purpose, hope, dreams, desires, accomplishment, love and comradeship.' Ernest Wright beams, 'This CD is an anthology collection of great hits.'

Jim Full writes in the CD's liner notes: In the beginning, there were 'Barber Shop Quartets.' From there we became familiar with the street corner Doo Wop: groups of the fifties and sixties. Today, those wonderful songs and vocal harmonies that were instruments unto themselves have seemingly been replaced with 'electronically altered' vocals and pre-recorded concerts. Gone apparently are the wonderful vocal groups who, through their lyrics and God given harmonies brought out emotions we never knew we had. To this day, the mere mention of their song titles cause many of us to flash back to those 'better days.' Wait a minute - did I say they were gone? No - thanks to Little Anthony and the Imperials. We can relive those days gone by and enjoy some of the greatest songs of all time with 'Pure Acappella.'

He continues: What better way to appreciate those songs than in the acappella style that made people sit up and take notice of the human voice as an instrument. And what better group to put this collection together than Little Anthony and the Imperials, a group whose harmonies have been entertaining people for six consecutive decades! I hope that as you listen to this CD, you appreciate the talent of this wonderful group and thank them for bringing back the basics. As a writer in the entertainment industry, I was taught the lesson 'less is more.' This CD proves that to be true with music as well. So sit back, relax, and enjoy some of the most memorable songs of all time in their natural form - 'Pure Acappella.'

Having already sold million records worldwide,' Little Anthony and the Imperials' 'Pure Acappella' is an amazing new chapter in an already incredible musical legacy.
